Wayne’s story starts off with dropping out of college and along the way has a few other bumps in the road as well. However, his story also includes a lot of hard work, being willing to do the job no one else wanted to do and learn the things others didn’t want to take them time to learn. And it didn’t take long until Wayne went from college dropout to President and CEO.
Wayne spent almost his entire career in management positions at a few different companies. Positions that provided a pretty good paycheck and commanded a fair amount of respect. However, it also demanded a lot of time, energy and travel. Now, after his kids have grown and left the house he has traded in the titles and the paychecks for running his own business, something he has always been passionate about.
His company, Gratia, is an IT business built around the future of IT and helps you put the right combination of people, processes, and technology in place to set you up for success. However, it is the name, “Gratia”, that might have the most meaning to Wayne. The word is Latin for “grace” and to Wayne the idea of grace is all about giving people a second chance and treating people as valuable human beings. As you listen to his story you will realize that Gratia is the culmination of everything he has learned in life, not just in how to run an IT business, but how to balance work and life, how to overcome hardship, and how to treat employees and customers properly.
