A lot of entrepreneurs stories can be traced back to being a kid, maybe a lemonade stand, or selling baseball cards, the entrepreneurial itch often starts at a young age. This was true for Lawrence. His marketplace? The cafeteria. His product? The sandwich his mom packed him for lunch.
The entrepreneurial drive never went away. It led Lawrence to starting his own company to help teens learn the value of entrepreneurship. And just when everything seemed like it was going to fall into place, it fell apart. Investments were pulled and Lawrence was left with nothing but a dream. But…that didn’t stop Lawrence.
Lawrence’s story is one of perseverance, and eventually he relaunched his business, but this time with a new name and a new strategy, but the same passion and purpose; helping teens.
This episode features Luke and Spencer of Peep: The Study App. Peep is an app that is designed to help you study better. All you have to do is start a study session and Peep will track if you spend time on social media or other distracting apps. You can also compete against friends, share notes with others, and connect with students in the same class as you. The idea came to Luke after a single notification led to him wasting 45 minutes on his phone when he should have been writing his paper. If you would like to learn more about Peep you can find out on Facebook or Instagram (as long as you shouldn’t be using that time studying).
If you want to connect you can connect with PreBoot Cincy on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter or go fill out the connect form on www.theprebootpodcast.com. And be sure to join the PreBoot People Facebook Group to connect with, and learn from other entrepreneurs in your area.
Remember to share this episode on social media using the hashtag #CincyIsForDreamers to win this awesome shirt from the Rivertown Inkery. Make sure to tag PreBoot Cincy on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter to make sure I don’t miss it!
